The reason I wanted this jacket and leggings was a multi purpose ridding gear I could wear while traveling as space for rain gear can take up valuable space. Since most of our riding is in warmer months I was looking for ventilation, rain protection as it always seems to rain, and protection for an undesirable ride. This gear has to be worn with some kind of under gear either to keep you cool and prevent you from sticking to the liner and the rough feeling from the elbow protection. While riding I was ok at the higher speeds but once in towns and stopped you started to get hot. I dropped it from a 5 as I would have liked to see a little more venting perhaps in the under arms and a double zipper so it could be unzipped from the bottom as well as the top offering some flexibility to air flow. The other reason the 4 star is although there is a pocket for my phone inside the jacket I could not fit my phone it is not made for a larger phone in any way, my outer pockets would not fit them either, I was able to fit it in one of the lower pockets that had a snap to secure it from falling out, thus the double zipper would be handy as if I did have a moment of time I had to unzip almost fully and if you had the upper body flaps open it made for a bit of a juggle.
