I purchased this jacket a year ago. I recently rode through Jasper NP through rain and cool weather with temperatures at 10C at Columbia Icefield. Even with the quilted vest, you need a good base layer of fleece to stay warm at highway speeds. Overall, the jacket performed well through the rain. During the heat wave this summer in Alberta, I removed the vest and had the vents open and I was able to stay comfortable and not over heat on the highway but, obviously got a bit sweaty in city traffic. I would recommend this for commuters and for a long trip.
I purchased the XLT size in this jacket and it fits well as I am 6’6”. It blocks wind very well and the thumb loops in the sleeves help keep wrists covered and warm in cold conditions. The integrated vest is handy but I would recommend a snap attachment at the neck to the inside of the jacket as when I take off the jacket/vest the vest comes right out of the jacket which is inconvenient. Zippers seem heavy duty and hoping that the jacket will hold up well into the future!

I have the set of the Whistler Textile Jacket and Pants in grey. They fit beautifully and are perhaps the most comfortable gear I have ever worn. Not bulky, easy stretch, clean lines, and the pants fit like regular pants, coming in waist and length measurements. The grey colour is more sage green, a beautiful natural tone. My one criticism is that the stitching is sloppy in places, on both jacket and pants, but this appears to be strictly aesthetic. Very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend the gear. Fits accurately to the measurements given. I wear a 34/30 in regular pants and the same fits in the Whistler textile pants, although this doesn't allow for wearing regular pants under. I am 5'-10' and the Large Jacket fits perfectly.
This might be one of the best touring jackets I’ve ever worn. Lightweight, but waterproof. Durable enough for long days of adv touring, but also comfy enough that I have been wearing it for short dirt bike rips on cooler and wet days. I got the pants to go with the jacket too. It’s a great combo.
